Today in Podgorica, the President of the Council of the Insurance Supervision Agency, Vladimir Kavarić PhD and President of the Council of Experts of the Insurance Supervision Agency of Macedonia, Klime Poposki, have signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The Memorandum of Understanding serves as a base to establish cooperation between regulatory bodies of Montenegro and Macedonia, intended to protect interests of existing and future owners of capital in insurance companies and insured persons thereof, as well as to promote the stability and efficiency of insurance industry.
The signatory parties have agreed a framework for future cooperation in the control of insurance companies operation, having in mind the similarity of insurance markets features of Montenegro and Macedonia, and problems that regulatory bodies are facing in exercising their everyday tasks.
