In 2009, the Agency carried out activities on establishing and intensifying communication with international institutions, expert bodies and associations. At the beginning of 2009, the Agency was approved membership in the International Association of Insurance Supervisors – IAIS, while the very membership became official in October 2009.
In this manner, the Insurance Supervision Agency is able to establish a closer cooperation and exchange of information with insurance supervisors in the world, which is of great significance for strengthening of supervision in this sector, and thus for improving the overall financial stability in the country.
