Pursuant to the letter addressed to the Insurance Supervision Agency by the Kosovo Insurance Bureau on 18 October 2011, we hereby notify the citizens of Montenegro that starting from 1 November 2011 vehicles having Montenegrin registration plates must have border insurance entered into for a period of at least 15 days to enter into and to travel on the territory of Kosovo.
This obligation is created in accordance with the Law on Compulsory Transportation Insurance of the Republic of Kosovo, adopted in July 2011, which stipulates the obligation for all vehicles with foreign registration plates moving on that territory to have a Green Card o border insurance.
